Scanning Around Newcastle Harbour

Newcastle Harbour is the largest export harbour in the southern hemisphere.. In keeping with LakeScan’s List theme of tuning into “something different”, I thought that we could take a scanning trip around the harbour. As you move around the harbour, you will be able to hear the workers of the coal loaders, train shunters, dock workers, industries, and other companies as they go about their day to day activities around the harbour’s edge. Some of the frequencies that are listed here are repeater inputs, however, I have heard these being used in a simplex operation. Of course VHF marine frequencies will be active with shipping movements, but here is something else to tune into
